There has been recent talk, especially after Francesco Camarda started regularly being called up and playing consistently with AC Milan's first team, about the possibility of seeing him included in the Italian senior national team coached by Luciano Spalletti.
Last night, at the 2024 Gran Galà del Calcio, Spalletti himself spoke about the young Rossoneri talent and the potential for his call-up to the senior Azzurri squad during an appearance on Sky Sport 24.

Here are his words:
Luciano Spalletti's thoughts on Francesco Camarda in the senior national team:
"A young player like him is even better kept under the radar because we all know how talented he is and that he will be part of our future. But sometimes pushing things too quickly can put him in a difficult position or cause him embarrassment."
He added:
"That said, Camarda has incredible qualities, and for us as coaches within the national team setup, being part of a staff and a group, it’s easier to talk about young players every day. In fact, we’ve made the decision to bring in some young talents recently, and it has paid off."
Spalletti continued to talk about Camarda:
"And I’ve heard wonderful things about him from those who coach him daily. Beyond being a talented player, he’s also a fine young man, a great kid. But for now, let’s let him grow."
