From the champions who shaped the Club’s history to the iconic celebratory jersey, alongside the music of Meduza, entertainment, and special content: the ceremony that lit up the pre-match atmosphere for AC Milan vs. Genoa was witnessed by over 70,000 passionate fans at San Siro.
Tonight, AC Milan marked its 125th Anniversary with a program of events and initiatives that made the evening at San Siro truly unforgettable.
Hall of Fame Presented by Emirates
The ceremony kicked off at 7:45 PM with the induction of legendary Rossoneri figures into the AC Milan Hall of Fame Presented by Emirates. Marco van Basten and Filippo Inzaghi received this prestigious honor alongside Honorary Vice President Franco Baresi, the first official member of the Hall of Fame. Although Andriy Shevchenko was unable to attend due to prior commitments, the former striker will be honored on the field in the near future.
On the San Siro pitch, the Rossoneri legends were presented with a special trophy created for the occasion by Tiffany & Co. The San Siro crowd warmly celebrated their champions, creating a night dedicated to the passion and history of Milan.
Official 125th Anniversary Ceremony
The evening continued at 8:30 PM with the Official Ceremony for AC Milan’s 125th Anniversary. The San Siro stadium was the stage for a breathtaking spectacle featuring lights, music, and iconic figures, narrated by the unmistakable voice of renowned actor and voice artist Luca Ward. Young players from AC Milan’s Youth Sector added to the emotional narrative, making the experience even more engaging for all in attendance.
In a crescendo of emotions, AC Milan’s official announcer, Germano Lanzoni – aka Gegio - invited the legends onto the pitch, where they were greeted with a heartfelt ovation from the Rossoneri faithful. Alongside Baresi, van Basten, and Inzaghi, numerous other legends graced the field, proudly displaying the cups and trophies that define AC Milan’s glorious history. Among the many champions present were Gullit, Rijkaard, Pato, Pirlo, and Seedorf.
The evening also featured Meduza, the globally acclaimed Italian trio and leading name in electronic music. Performing for the first time at San Siro, they delivered an unforgettable set that accompanied the pre-match show, creating a unique atmosphere to celebrate this historic milestone for the Club.
The creative direction for AC Milan’s 125th Anniversary show was entrusted to Sergio Pappalettera, a renowned artistic director for high-profile events and tours for major Italian musical artists.
Several VIPs and celebrities were also invited to attend the match and enjoy the show, including international supermodel Bianca Balti, Italian TV personality Melissa Satta, actor and writer Fabio Volo, Italian singer-songwriter Alfa, and others.
The pre-match festivities were a triumph of emotions and celebrations - a magical and memorable moment uniting Rossoneri fans worldwide. Together, they honored the Club’s legends and celebrated AC Milan’s 125th Anniversary in grand style.
