Fomer Inter Milan goalkeeper Sebastien Frey has spoken in an exclusive interview granted to La Gazzetta dello Sport, about the future of Italy International and AC Milan goalie Gianluigi Donnarumma, and also about his potential replacement Mike Maignan. Here are his statements:
On Donnarumma:
“I copy-paste the advice I gave him a few years ago, when he called me: he has the Rossoneri crest sewn on his chest, he must remain. He is young, he has everything to be the future captain and, why not, become the new Maldini. The club is ambitious, the results are coming: in his place, I would think about it a thousand times before changing."
On Maignan being the replacement of Donnarumma:
"He is doing well with Lille and is in the national team, he is an interesting goalkeeper with ample room for improvement. Obviously everything will depend on Donnarumma".
