The Italian Milan Club Association announces a truce in the ongoing protest during recent matches for the upcoming derby against Inter, scheduled for Sunday at 6 PM CET.
As stated in the note published by AIMC, banners will be displayed as usual, and support from the fans will be ensured. This decision was made in light of the significance and deep-rooted tradition of the match.
AIMC's statement, as relayed via Milannews.it:
"The Italian Milan Club Association announces that, only for the derby, an 'Olympic truce' will take effect: support from the fans will be guaranteed, and banners will be regularly displayed in the stands.
The derby is not just any match; it represents the football passion of generations who have always fought to defend and support their colors. Derbies write the history of the teams that play them, and those who win them enter the pantheon of football. The derby is not just played—it is lived.
The decision to grant a truce, only for the derby, is a reflection of our deep-rooted attachment to the Rossoneri colors. It is solely intended to temporarily halt the ongoing protest over the extremely serious situation created by the club's recent decisions, which have drastically altered the operations and services provided to Milan clubs. This decision is taken purely to support our team and counter the rival fans in a match that, although part of the league, will remain written in the history of our colors.
This choice highlights our strong sense of responsibility and loyalty, in the hope that we will no longer have to defend ourselves from those who should instead be helping us support our wonderful Rossoneri colors!!!!"
