Journalist Pedullà explains why he is disappointed in Milan coach Conceição

Speaking in the studios of Sportitalia, journalist Alfredo Pedullà harshly commented on Milan's elimination from the Champions League, pointing the finger at everyone, with no exceptions:

"It was a predictable debacle. Now, everyone is blaming Theo Hernandez, saying he should have been removed from his role, because it's not just coaches who can be sacked on August 31 after what happened at the Olimpico (the cooling break against Lazio, ed.). An absent club does not allow these things. So now, going after Theo Hernandez with a six-month delay seems insane to me [...]."

"Milan is not a club, because a great club was the Milan of the past. This is a club that does not react to things so blatantly obvious that decisions should be made—but aren’t—and these are the results. I am disappointed in Conceição, whom I considered and still consider an excellent coach, clearly superior to Fonseca. And when I saw—after discussing with some important coaches during the match—that he took off Pulisic to bring on Bartesaghi, that was grounds for having his coaching license revoked, for suspension. Then he took off Gimenez. So, they sold you Gimenez, you paid 30, 35 million for him, and today you even gave them the 11 million bonus. I don’t think a club could have done worse. Those 11 million were for advancing to the next round. You take out Gimenez, put in Abraham, he had no clue what he was doing."

Pedullà on AC Milan's Theo Hernandez:

"Theo Hernandez is an unspeakable story because, for me, his time was up on August 31, 2024, when no action was taken and the anarchy continued. But with an absent club, and the coach doing whatever he wants, everything is out of control."
