The defeat against Torino risks eliminating Milan from the race for the Champions League.

The last and true call for the comeback is scheduled for Thursday, February 27, when the Rossoneri will make up their match against Bologna. Sergio Conceição’s team keeps making the same mistakes, but this time, bad luck also plays a part. Plenty of dominance but little concreteness—four forwards on the field, yet the only goal of the night is scored by a midfielder, Tijjani Reijnders. Around the Rossoneri world, there is disappointment, frustration, and the awareness of drifting aimlessly, without a clear and strong plan.

In short, it’s time to start from scratch. No one is exempt from blame. The team has not shown character, the coach is unable to leave his mark (even though time is always short), and the management tried to fix the mistakes made in the summer with a winter transfer market that was good but not complete. Three-quarters of the summer signings have been failures, and so has the coach chosen in June—a failure that could become total if Milan does not finish the season in fourth place.

A rebuild is needed, but so are men of the field. This, of course, refers to the Rossoneri executives. The so-called "working group" has not lived up to expectations, failing both in its communication and in the decisions made so far. Winning teams, after all, have always had great leadership behind them, but if Milan fans look back, all they find is a deafening silence.

Milan has a vital need for a clear hierarchy, courageous leadership, and investments that declare great ambition.

Come June, rebuilding becomes an imperative—even at the cost of unpopular decisions.

From Rafael Leao to Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan, even the heroes of the 19th Scudetto are being questioned. Contract renewal issues, certain unpleasant behaviors, performances, and above all, results do not offer guarantees. Rossoneri fans look to the future with pessimism, but this presents the perfect opportunity to start anew.

Sports revolutions, let’s remember, can happen even without sacrifices, but our heroes must change their approach and mentality. Ibrahimovic and his colleagues tried to build the team in seven days, they failed, and soon they will have an entire summer to try again, as relayed via PianetaMilan.it.
