Carlo Pellegatti, a well-known commentator with a strong Rossoneri allegiance, was once again a guest on the radio program Tutti Convocati, broadcast on Radio 24.
The journalist discussed Milan's current situation on the day the Champions League Round of 16 begins, a competition the Rossoneri failed to qualify for, squandering two excellent opportunities.
Pellegatti's words:
"I don’t want to dramatize, but in 14 days, we threw away five years. To hear the Champions League anthem again, at the very least, we’ll have to wait 19 months, two summers, one Christmas, two Easters, two birthdays. Nineteen months is an eternity, and we are condemned to Tuesdays and Wednesdays."
Pellegatti continued to talk about Milan's situation:
"May the football gods at least bring us an occupied Thursday, sitting at home like we were from 2014 to 2021. I would have bet on anything, but not on Milan failing to be in the Champions League by default in the coming years, including this one. The worst was behind us; we were always in the top four. Instead, now we’re ninth."
