AC Milan’s season can be summed up in one word: disappointing.
This team had all the potential not only to compete for a spot in Europe's top competition, but also for the Scudetto, considering that with the same number of points as a year ago at this stage of the season, the Rossoneri would actually be sitting at the top of the table.

However, things haven’t gone that way. With 7 games left in the league, Milan can no longer realistically aim to climb the standings and secure fourth place. At this rate, even qualifying for the Europa League or the Conference League could be in jeopardy.
This morning, Il Corriere dello Sport ran the following headline:
“Flop Milan, intrigue in the USA". This is referring to Giorgio Furlani’s trip to the States, where he will meet with owner Gerry Cardinale to take stock of another crucial issue: the appointment of a new sporting director.
