In Milan’s clear and beautiful victory over Udinese, there was also the contribution of Tammy Abraham.

Coming on in the second half in place of an excellent Jovic, the Englishman immediately made his mark with an assist that sent Theo Hernandez through on goal. In the final minutes, he also had a goal ruled out for a clear offside after a cross-shot from Pulisic. But that’s not all: Abraham is fighting hard to earn his place in the Rossoneri squad for next season as well.

Abraham, so eager for Milan!

It’s evident how the Rossoneri number 90 has been standing out with commitment and solid performances in recent weeks. In addition to the goal he scored in the Coppa Italia against Inter, in the last three league matches Abraham has registered one goal (vs Fiorentina) and one assist (vs Udinese). A magic moment that has allowed him to climb the ranks ahead of a struggling Gimenez—although he now has to contend with the resurgence of Luka Jovic, who also performed well yesterday against Udinese.

A future still in Rossonero for Abraham?

The former Roma striker’s excellent form has been fueled by the trust of Conceição, who has started him in all three matches since the international break. From Napoli to Fiorentina, passing through Inter: Abraham has rewarded his coach with two goals, showing a newfound ruthlessness in front of goal. That very quality might push the Rossoneri to consider purchasing the 27-year-old from Roma, after initially arriving on loan last August. It goes without saying, however, that there are many uncertainties. Much will depend on the new sporting director (and consequently on the coach who will be chosen) and on the intentions of Roma, with whom Tammy is under contract until 2027. An 'assist' might come from Alexis Saelemaekers, who has already expressed his desire to stay in the capital. To sell the Belgian, Milan are asking for around 25 million euros—a valuation the Englishman could soon match if he continues scoring until the end of the season. That would set the stage for an equal swap deal, allowing the Rossoneri to complete their attacking duo with Santiago Gimenez without spending a single euro, as pointed out by Milannews.it.
