This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport headlines as follows:
"Furlani-Tare, first meeting. 4-hour discussion, but no agreement. Milan reflects on the sporting director."

Yesterday in Rome, the first in-person meeting took place between Giorgio Furlani, the Rossoneri CEO, and Igli Tare, currently the favorite to become the new sporting director of the Devil. The summit was positive, even though no definitive agreement was reached, so much so that new meetings between the parties are expected in the coming weeks.
New Milan sporting director: the club reflects
However, the casting for the new sporting director does not seem destined to stop at this meeting with Tare. Everything suggests that in the coming days, other profiles will also be evaluated—possibly even foreign ones—although the idea is to appoint someone Italian or at least someone who knows Italian football well (like Tare, for example).
On the Rossoneri list are also the names of Tony D’Amico, Giovanni Sartori, and Giovanni Manna, but all three seem set to stay where they are (at Atalanta, Bologna, and Napoli respectively).
