On gazzetta.it, journalist Luca Bianchin expressed himself as follows regarding the timing of AC Milan's choice of a new sporting director:
"When will Milan’s decision on the sporting director come? Milan will almost certainly decide at the end of the season. Serie A ends on May 25, there is almost a month to go and no, there are no signs of any acceleration from Giorgio Furlani."
Bianchin continued to talk about AC Milan:
"On the contrary, the idea from the beginning has been to proceed without haste, even though Fabio Paratici was one legal agreement away from signing his contract with Milan."
