Gianluigi Donnarumma has led PSG to their second-ever Champions League final. There's nothing to criticise about the player himself, as he is truly one of the top players in the world. However, Zvonimir Boban, speaking to Sky Sport, revisited the discomfort that arose between the goalkeeper and the club due to the failure to renew his contract in 2021.

“Gigio’s story is very painful and also quite undignified. I don’t know if Donnarumma is still considered a Milanista by Milan fans. I don’t want to place blame on a young man who was only around twenty years old when he left, but you have to reflect on it yourself — think about your club and the colors you wore for so many years, the colors of the club where you grew up. Leaving like that was, for me, almost unforgivable."
Boban added:
"That said, Donnarumma is a phenomenon and has always been destined for greatness. It's still nice to see him make saves like that — he's part of Italy’s great global successes. He's a phenomenal goalkeeper, and we hope he keeps it up.”
