At the end of Milan 2 - Monza 0, Matteo Gabbia said to DAZN's microphones:
"It was a difficult match in terms of atmosphere. The responsibility for that is also, and above all, ours. The season has been negative for everyone, and it’s a good thing that it’s over. This team has a lot of quality; there are many important players."
He added:
"We are very sorry for the fans. Now we have to learn from our mistakes and start again right away."
On next season without European competitions, Gabbia commented:
"Do like Napoli? We obviously would have preferred to play in the European cups. Next year we will still have competitions and we’ll need to do well in all of them. We must be united and move forward."
