Theo Hernandez is one step away from saying goodbye to Milan. Of his six years in the Rossoneri shirt, many memorable moments will remain etched in memory: from the wonderful goal against Atalanta, decisive for the Scudetto, to his plays in tandem with Leao, up to the last Supercoppa lifted in Riyadh with a goal in the final that sparked the comeback. Among the many snapshots are also the countless duels in the derbies with Denzel Dumfries, Inter’s right wing-back: on the pitch, they never held back—and neither off it.
Today, Denzel Dumfries was interviewed by La Gazzetta dello Sport and also spoke about Theo Hernandez, commenting on his probable farewell to Serie A:
“They were good battles (he laughs,) and I hope there will be more, maybe with the national teams. It’s a fun and enjoyable rivalry, we like it and so do the fans—it’s part of the game. But we’ll have that drink together, if he wants, only once we’ve both retired.”
