Il Quotidiano Sportivo headlines this morning about Milan:
"Pillars locked in. And high pressure on Ricci, the main target."
Sporting director Igli Tare confirmed that Rafael Leao, Mike Maignan, and Christian Pulisic will be central to Massimiliano Allegri’s new technical project. Meanwhile, on the transfer market, the Rossoneri have made significant progress toward signing Samuele Ricci, the Torino midfielder whom the club has been monitoring for some time. The deal could be finalized fairly soon.
Here are Igli Tare’s words on Mike Maignan:
"Maignan is not leaving; he will be at Milan next season as well. There was interest from a Premier League club, but in the end no agreement was reached, especially knowing that Maignan is a reference point not only on the pitch but off it as well. We’ve decided to rely on him and move forward together. The transfer market is unpredictable, but for us, he remains a key figure in this team. We need to bring some enthusiasm back, and that’s why we’re trying to understand what’s needed to improve the squad: every player brought in will be functional to this project, aiming to enhance the quality of a team that was already strong."
