A tragic day for the world of football. Liverpool striker Diogo Jota lost his life following a car accident near Zamora, in Spain.
According to reconstructions reported by the Spanish press, Jota, who was traveling with his brother André, 26 years old and also a professional footballer, went off the road, causing a fire. Eyewitnesses, who called for emergency services, stated that the car was engulfed in flames, which also spread to the surrounding vegetation.
Born on December 4, 1996, Diogo Jota leaves behind his wife, Rute Cardoso, whom he had married just 10 days ago, and three children aged one, two, and four.
