Since yesterday, Luka Modric has officially become a new AC Milan player. The Croatian star has signed a one-year contract with an option for a second year. In an interview with the Rossoneri’s official channels, the former Real Madrid midfielder also spoke about Jannik Sinner, the tennis sensation and huge AC Milan fan, who on Sunday became the first Italian ever to win Wimbledon. Luka Modric’s comments on Jannik Sinner:
“Jannik played incredibly well against Carlitos. What he’s doing right now is extraordinary, and the match he played was on another level. I want to congratulate him on becoming the first Italian to win Wimbledon. Hopefully we’ll get the chance to meet soon."
Modric added:
"I wish him all the best for the future — I’m sure he’ll win many more Grand Slams given the way he’s playing and the talent he has. He’s truly amazing.”
