At the start-of-year meeting with the media, AC Milan's sporting director Igli Tare was very clear and direct: Milan is looking for a striker to play alongside Santiago Gimenez. However, the characteristics of the new forward are very specific: the management wants a penalty-area striker whose qualities complement those of "El Bebote". In this context, among the many names mentioned, Dusan Vlahovic appears to be the right opportunity.

Vlahovic's potential exit? The situation behind the scenes:

Today, Corriere dello Sport provided a full update on Vlahovic’s situation. Currently, the player is at odds with Juventus, who have already signed Jonathan David and want to bring Kolo Muani back to the club. With Vlahovic’s contract expiring in 2026 and his salary being quite high, the Bianconeri even proposed a contract termination. However, the striker and his representatives are demanding a severance payout of €10 million, which Juventus has no intention of paying. As days go by, the situation will become increasingly urgent for both the player and the club. For now, Milan is monitoring the situation quietly, hoping that by August the opportunity arises to sign the player under favorable terms.

The only real stumbling block in this scenario is Vlahovic’s salary: the Serbian forward earns €12 million per year, and if he wants to transfer — to Milan or elsewhere — he will need to accept a significant pay cut. As for the transfer fee, if a contract termination does not happen, the price could still be very favorable for Milan: with one year left on his deal and given the situation, a fee of around €20 million might be enough to sign him. Tactically, Massimiliano Allegri would appreciate this option, as he’d get a player who knows the league well, requires no adjustment period, and is already familiar with his coaching methods. Even Vlahovic himself, a few weeks ago, had reportedly expressed openness to the move.
