In recent hours, there has been a lot of talk about Zachary Athekame, right-back of Young Boys, who is in Milan's sights. Fabrizio Romano, in a video on his YouTube channel, sums up the situation:
"Milan has made an official offer to Young Boys for the Swiss club’s right-back, his name is Zachary Athekame: this is the name Milan is currently working on. Regarding Guela Doué, we have told you how he has always been a long-time target for Milan, both at a managerial level and within the technical staff, very appreciated by Max Allegri. But Strasbourg has always set a high price: a starting point of 30 million euros. Milan tried and tried again, even improved its offer a few days ago, but it was not enough to convince Strasbourg, which wants to keep the player, showcase him at a European level, and then sell him next year for a higher fee, even well beyond 30 million, given the club's expectations for the boy.
So now they are turning to Zachary Athekame, with an official offer of 7 million euros: the asking price starts at 10–10.5, so negotiations will now take place to reach an agreement. Young Boys claims that the player also has strong interest from several English clubs, and it’s true, but the player has already given a general approval to Milan, his desire is to join Milan, and now it’s up to the two clubs to reach an agreement," as relayed via Milan News.
