Given the difficulties in reaching an agreement for Guela Doué (Strasbourg has never moved from its initial valuation of 30 million euros) Milan has turned to Zachary Athekame, a right-back born in 2004 who plays for Young Boys. The Rossoneri submitted an initial offer of 7 million euros, but in recent hours, the Swiss club rejected Milan’s proposal.
This is reported by Matteo Moretto on X, who also adds that the club from Via Aldo Rossi is ready to make a new bid in the coming hours. Milan aims to close the deal quickly and hopes to finalize everything by midweek. For this reason, the Rossoneri are prepared to increase their offer to obtain Young Boys’ definitive green light for Athekame’s transfer as soon as possible.
Here is Moretto’s post on X:
“Milan is pushing to close Zachary Athekame. In the last few hours, Young Boys rejected the first official offer of €7M for the Swiss right-back, but the Rossoneri club is ready to make a new bid in the coming hours. Advanced negotiations between the parties, Milan hopes to finalize everything by midweek.”
