Yesterday was Koni De Winter’s day, as he arrived in the city for his medical examinations at La Madonnina clinic before heading to Casa Milan to sign his contract, with the official announcement expected in the coming hours.

Today, the Belgian will already be training at Milanello with the squad and will be reunited with Massimiliano Allegri, whom he had previously crossed paths with during a preseason spell at Juventus. Tomorrow or the day after, however, could be Zachary Athekame’s turn, the Swiss full-back from Young Boys that Tare has been working on signing for several days now.
La Gazzetta dello Sport wrote this morning about the Swiss international:
"Athekame also on his way."
At present, Milan still need to formalize their offer of 10 million euros plus 10% of any future resale. Young Boys are proving to be a tough negotiator, especially during the contract drafting stage, where they are trying to include bonuses or raise the resale clause. In any case, the path forward is clear, especially since the player has made his wishes abundantly clear so the deal could be wrapped up today or tomorrow.
