Curva Sud Milano: “There are no conditions that allow us to support the team”

The Curva Sud Milano breaks its silence after the summer and, on the eve of the new season, issues a statement regarding its presence, or absence, at San Siro this year. The note published on social channels reads:

"Over the past few weeks, many people have written to us asking whether the Curva Sud of recent years, passionate, colorful, with its historic banners, spectacular choreographies, and relentless support, would be regularly in its place. Today, after a long and deafening silence from the club, we can finally give you some answers:

No approval for new banners

Almost all old banners prohibited

A blacklist banning us from season tickets in the 2nd blue tier, but allowing subscriptions elsewhere in the stadium and even ticket purchases in the same 2nd blue tier (yes, you read that correctly: for ‘public order’ reasons, they forbid us from holding season tickets in the 2nd blue, but if we somehow manage to get one of the few tickets available there match by match, the public order problem magically disappears: madness!!!)

On this blacklist, alongside the vocal leaders, the choreographers, the drummers, and various group leaders, they have also placed their children, their wives, and many other young people with no criminal record, guilty only of expressing a legitimate opinion and protesting against the club at Casa Milan during peaceful, regularly authorized demonstrations.

With great regret, as of today, under the authoritarian regime imposed at San Siro, there are no conditions whatsoever that allow us to support the team as we have done for decades and as happens in every curva across Italy.

We feel sorry for the coach and the players, sacrificial victims of this decision by the club, born out of blind, unjustified, and illogical repression.

Enjoy the theatre, everyone!"
