Ahead of the match against Bari in Coppa Italia at the San Siro, where the AC Milan's season will officially kick-off, head coach Massimiliano Allegri has spoken to the microphones of those at SportMediaset.
Here are his words about the season opener:
“There is great enthusiasm, and we thank all the fans who will come to the stadium tomorrow. We need to play a responsible, organized, and highly technical game.”
On the opponent, Bari:
“We must have great respect for Bari, a well-organized team with a good coach—they’ve had a good preparation. Tomorrow, the important thing is to win; we must try to advance to reach the finals in May.”
On the Coppa Italia competition, Allegri commented:
“It’s one of our three objectives, and it’s a match that is very important for us mentally. It’s a step forward that we need to take. The league will be played over 38 games, and we’ll need to maintain great balance.”
On this summer’s work, Allegri had this to say:
"I believe Milan, the club, has worked very well. Tare has done excellent work. The new players have integrated very well; there is a good spirit."
