The arrival of Victor Boniface does not rule out that of another striker. In recent days, the name of Conrad Harder, Sporting Lisbon’s 2005-born forward, has been strongly linked with Milan.
According to Record, the Rossoneri are even preparing to submit their first official offer for him.
Max Allegri’s real fixation, however, remains one player: Dusan Vlahovic. Tuttosport wonders whether, with a high-profile signing like Boniface, this trail might finally come to an end. Yet, the feeling is that it could remain open until the very last days of the transfer window, after more than three months of pursuit.
So nothing is over at Casa Milan just yet, contrary to what some might believe.
That said, the fact that, once the Hojlund deal became complicated, Milan chose to pivot toward Boniface instead of the Serbian speaks volumes. The issue is simple: after months of talks at Casa Milan, they have never been able to find common ground to make the deal work financially, both because of Dusan Vlahovic’s salary demands (he earns 12 million euros per season at Juventus) and the Bianconeri’s asking price for his transfer.
There is, however, one twist in this story, and his name is Santiago Gimenez. The Mexican striker, by technical profile, is not the quintessential “Allegri forward.” For that reason, if an offer of at least 30 million euros were to arrive, he could be sold after just six months in a Rossoneri shirt. At that point, the only logical solution to complete Milan’s attack would be Dusan Vlahovic.
