AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has spoken in the press conference following the loss against Lazio earlier this night. Here are his statements:

An analysis of the match:

"The analysis is that Lazio have been better than us in the episodes, they have put in more quality. We certainly had an excellent first half but we had to equalize because we had the opportunities to equalize. an uneven second goal complicated the game."

What was the decisive episode?

“There were two. The Lazio goal that put them in a position to make the most of their characteristics, thanks to Lazio and our fault, and the second goal. I'm not saying he closed the game but it certainly made it more difficult than it was ”.

Where was Lazio superior?

“In attacking I would say no, they waited [at the back] for us and was very good at starting again. Lazio were better than us to take the lead. It was a game where those who had the advantage would have had favorable situations and they were good at exploiting the spaces we gave them”.

How worried are you about the Champions League race?

“It is clear that we come from two defeats that have worsened our ranking. Our competitors are going strong, we need to think about winning again to improve our ranking. It will be a tough fight until the end”.

Did you expect more from Mandzukic?

“Mario put a good presence inside the area, he worked hard for the team. I think he played a good match. We had to fill the area with a few more players, many times we got there and it takes concreteness and clarity in the finalization. We created opportunities, especially in the first half ”.

On UEFA's investigation into Ibra:

“I don't know anything, I'm just worried about the next match. I don't know the other things, I can't comment on them”.

Will there be a reaction immediately?

"There must be".
