This morning, taking advantage of the fact that the transfer market has just closed and that clubs are now on pause for the international break over the next 10 days, La Gazzetta dello Sport decided to publish its report card for Serie A’s summer transfer window.

Each team was given a numerical rating along with a short written assessment. Naturally, these are judgments that should be taken with a pinch of salt, as every transfer window can only be truly evaluated over time.
La Gazzetta dello Sport gave Milan a rating of 7, with the following reasoning:
"They needed a striker and a central defender; Nkunku has arrived, who can do everything but is not a traditional No. 9. The midfield is abundant with technical, physical, and box-to-box profiles to make up for the departure of Reijnders. Modrić doesn’t look ready for retirement, Rabiot is the Allegri-style player they were looking for, and the classic last-day signing could well become a key figure."
