Matteo Gabbia, speaking at the Premio Gentleman 2024/2025 event, gave these remarks to Sky Sport. The Milan centre-back said:
On the team’s current moment
“We are doing well and we have a strong desire to play and earn points. We did well not to fill ourselves with negativity after the defeat against Cremonese. From there we moved on, worked well, and then won in Lecce.”

On the transfer market and the almost completely reshaped squad:
“The club made its choices, and it is right to acknowledge the change. The club gave us an extra push with the new players because you can feel a fresh atmosphere at Milanello, with many good guys full of desire. I also want to thank the players who left. Even though last season was not a positive one, responsibility was shared across the entire squad. So I greet them and send them a big hug," he told Sky.
On work in the defensive phase, Gabbia said:
“We are working a lot: on the defensive phase, on the team’s compactness. The coach explains to us how important it is to work all together, not as a single isolated block. Right now there is no point in talking. The pitch will do the talking, that’s what matters.”
