Fabio Capello, former Rossoneri defender, spoke to Corriere della Sera about Max Allegri’s new Milan:

"Well, it seems to me they are in the same situation as the national team. The midfield offers little cover, and the defenders watch the ball more than the opponents. On top of that, when possession is lost, only a few track back, and they do so slowly. The summer revolution in the transfer market? A team is like a tree."
"The trunk is the foundation: a solid central defender, a midfielder who shields the defense and starts the play, and a striker who scores goals. I think more than one of these elements is missing here, but Max is a smart coach and will find a way to compensate. A Champions League spot as a realistic goal? I’d say at the very least, especially without playing in other competitions."
Capello also briefly commented on Adriano Galliani’s possible return to Milan:
"He’s my friend, I’d be happy. But I hope for it above all for Milan’s sake."
