Samuele Ricci is one of several midfield investments Milan made this summer. There is a problem though: at the start of this season, the former Torino captain has not yet managed to find the playing time he deserves. The feeling is that this trend could continue, especially since in Allegri’s setup, two players have guaranteed spots: Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot.

The rest, including Ricci, must fight every week to start, which is why Tuttosport described the former Torino player as an uncertainty this morning. Not only that, before joining Milan, the 2001-born midfielder was a key figure in Luciano Spalletti’s national team, but during this international break, he was not called up by the new coach Gennaro Gattuso. On this topic, the newspaper titled their piece:
“If Ricci doesn’t play, then no national team for him.”
