The first real Milan under Max Allegri was seen against Bologna. Clear-headed, compact, organized, they conceded very little to the opponent. It is true that the Rossoneri won only 1-0, but they hit the post four times and should have been awarded at least two penalties.
In short, this was a false “small victory”; the win against Bologna should have been much wider. The team is starting to function, Rabiot and Modric are two great acquisitions. Doubts remain about the defense, but Allegri’s work will be decisive.
Starting with refereeing mistakes, we are back to gross and embarrassing errors. The penalty first awarded and then taken away from Milan at the end of the Bologna match was almost paranormal.

Lucumì’s red card and a penalty for the Rossoneri were clear, but nothing was given. Allegri lost his temper on the bench and became furious. The Milan coach was sent off for a penalty that was obvious in favor of his team.
Someone in the club needs to raise their voice publicly, because at official levels it is clear that nothing changes. Milan has been mistreated for years. Last season both Fonseca and Conceiçao tried to highlight the problem but were overwhelmed by negative results. Their words carried little weight. This year, hopefully, things will be different. Milan deserves more respect.
In the win against Bologna, Milan's goalkeeper Mike Maignan suffered a calf injury.
Tests ruled out major damage, but he left San Siro on crutches and it remains to be seen how long he will be out. He is an extremely strong but fragile goalkeeper, who gets injured almost every year. The renewal issue remains current.
Allegri and Tare will try to convince him, but negotiations are currently stalled. If he does not stay, two names are already considered: Zion Suzuki, 23, from Parma, and Elia Caprile, currently at Cagliari. Then the plan would be to give more trust to Torriani, but a loan to guarantee him more experience would have been the right move.
