Marco Landucci, Allegri’s assistant, spoke to DAZN before Udinese-Milan.
Here are his words:
Why is today one of those four key moments Allegri mentioned?
“Udinese are a great team. They drew with Verona, beat Inter, and beat Pisa. They are unbeaten. They are strong, very tough. Physical and technical. We know games in Udine are always difficult. We come from two good performances and we want to make it three.”
What do you ask from the midfielders? Landucci replied:
“The midfielders have changed positions. In football today it is about occupying spaces. We ask the mezzali to make runs. Modric… I like to point out the person he is. Sometimes I joke with him… On Sunday after the game I told him he moves me for the kind of person he is, not only the player. A serious person, very well-mannered.”
On Luka Modric’s role, he said::
“We’ll take it match by match. He has played three excellent games. For Serie A it is an honor to have him, especially for us at Milan but also for Italian football. We will see game by game. We also have very good players behind him like Ricci who came on well. We have Ruben, we have Fofana, players with both strength and technique.”
How is Christopher Nkunku?
“He’s doing well, not ready for the full 90 yet. In our view he is a strong and talented player. In football today substitutes decide games. Having someone like him to come on, along with the others, is important.”
