After more than a month out, Rafael Leao will be back at Max Allegri’s disposal for the important and delicate league match against Napoli, the reigning champions of Italy. The Milan number 10 is not yet at full fitness, so he will start from the bench, but having such a weapon during the game could prove highly useful for the Rossoneri coach.
Alongside Leao, Christopher Nkunku will also remain out of the starting eleven against Napoli. On Tuesday, he scored his first goal in a Milan shirt. The same logic applies to him as with the Portuguese forward: the former Chelsea man is not yet at his best, but his flashes against Bologna, Udinese, and Lecce have made clear that his path is already well defined.

Leao and Nkunku from the bench, the direction is set.
They will start as substitutes against Napoli, but according to Corriere dello Sport, Leao and Nkunku are seen as the Milan starters of the near future. Of course, leaving out Christian Pulisic would be a major mistake, but there is also the chance that all three could play together. In that scenario, Santiago Gimenez risks losing his place, but after scoring again against Lecce, the Bebote can now officially begin his recovery path.
One thing is clear: Milan’s new attack is working.
In little more than a month of the season, every forward has scored, and Allegri will rotate them with his usual skill, aware that attackers must be used according to their current form.
