AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni spoke to DAZN about the new stadium situation. His words:
Tomorrow is a crucial day for San Siro:
“Tomorrow marks the end, I hope, of a long path that I began many years ago. I believe the City Council will make a wise decision for the two clubs and for Italian football. A fundamental step that I hope will happen tomorrow.”
Is there confidence? There have been doubts about transparency... Scaroni replied:
“As far as Milan is concerned, it is very simple. Milan is owned by RedBird, which is owned by Mr. Gerry Cardinale, whom we see often and who many of us know. I cannot understand the issue about transparency. As for Inter, they will speak for themselves, but their situation is similar to ours.”
Are you confident?
“We are confident because if problems were to arise, everyone would lose: the teams, Milan, Italy, Italian football. I don’t see who would take the responsibility of causing such damage.”
