Rafael Leao is returning to Milan.
After missing today’s training session, the day after Portugal’s win over Ireland, the Rossoneri number 10 is heading back to Italy. The Portuguese federation and 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' both confirmed the news.

The report states that the decision by coach Roberto Martinez was made in agreement with AC Milan and is part of a management plan for the player, who had been out for a month with the club. There should be no problems, as the source writes that Leao is expected to be available for Allegri by Tuesday when official training resumes.
The official statement from the Portuguese national team on Rafael Leao’s condition, as he returns to Milan, reads:
"Rafael Leão has been released from the Portuguese national team and will not take part in the match against Hungary. The decision to exclude the player was made by head coach Roberto Martínez after assessing the physical condition of the forward, who came off the bench in the Portugal - Republic of Ireland match."
