He is currently sidelined to resolve an ankle problem that has troubled him in recent months and is not expected to play in Friday’s friendly against Entella. Max Allegri hopes to have him back for the Milan derby on November 23.
Santiago Gimeenz future is also uncertain. There are growing reports of a possible arrival of a new centre-forward at Milanello in January. The Mexican player risks falling down the pecking order under the Livorno-born coach and might even decide to leave during the winter transfer window, though it is not certain that offers will arrive in the coming weeks.
