At the end of the event organized by BMW in collaboration with Milan, Rossoneri defender Matteo Gabbia spoke to Sky Sport about his personal and team goals for this season.
Does the last derby win have something that makes it special?
"Every derby has something special, especially when you have the skill and the luck to win. These are days where we work a lot, yesterday we also had two tough training sessions, because we know we need continuity, the most important match now is the one against Lazio. We also feel good together, we are a healthy group of guys who care about each other. Even when we spend time together off the pitch we are happy."
Gabbia, In your mind is there confidence that you will fight until the end for the Scudetto?
“I think we are very aligned with the coach, we are clear and calm. We need to work, we are improving step by step thanks to the work with him and his staff. When we reach the final part of the year we will try to do our best, for ourselves and for the fans, this shirt demands the highest result," as relayed via Milan News.
Did you expect such strong growth from yourself over these years?
“To be honest, I have always had the desire and ambition to become an important player for this team," said Gabbia. "I am aware I must keep improving, but I think that is the case for everyone in this team. I am happy the team is doing well, I feel good with my teammates and feel like a strong part of the group. I hope this will be a great year."
