"Leao, force nine. Centre forward like at Lille and Milan rise.”
Rafa’s progress in recent weeks is clear and his adjustment to the new role as a centre forward is moving in the right direction. Max Allegri pushes him every day and believes this role will allow the Portuguese forward to reach the level people have been expecting for years.
Speaking to Milan TV after the win over Lazio, Allegri said this about Leao: “Rafa must learn how to play as a centre forward, he played there at Lille then lost that habit. He has great natural qualities, he must use them to grow and become stronger. We are a group that is growing, and without a group I have never seen strong teams win, so the path is the right one for now.”
