Massimiliano Allegri gave these statements today in his press conference about Milan’s attack:
Allegri, does this Milan have a striker suited to your style?
"We have talked about this many times. Between Juventus and Milan, and also at Cagliari, I had only one pure centre forward, and that was Higuain. Mandzukic moved around, he even played on the left. Ibrahimovic, Robinho, Cassano and Pato... Ibra was stronger at setting others up, he became a real centre forward late in his career. This depends on their traits, I try to put them in the best conditions. Scoring is what matters."
Allegri added:
"Right now, out of our four attackers, two have scored ten goals. We need goals from Nkunku, from Gimenez, from the midfielders and the defenders. At the end of the season you need a certain number of goals scored and fewer conceded to stay up there. I have never seen a team win or finish high with a small goal difference, and that is simple math."
Is there a need for a new striker in January for AC Milan?
"There is still one month to go, we have an important week with these two matches," said AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
