The Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, in this morning's print edition, ran their front page headline on AC Milan’s transfer market. It reads the following:
"Saelemaekers until 2031. Now Fullkrug”.
In fact, since Santiago Gimenez risks undergoing surgery to solve the ankle issue keeping him sidelined since late October, the Rossoneri decided to return to the market and will sign a new centre-forward in January.
The choice points to Niclas Fullkrug, the 32-year-old German striker from West Ham, who looks set to arrive at Milanello on loan. The ex Borussia Dortmund player is struggling in England and has failed to register his name on the scoring sheet so far this season.
