Milan exit the Coppa Italia competition. The Rossoneri conceded 2 goals from Antonio Conte's team and were unable to score. Head coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke to the media in a press conference after the final whistle:

Every match is different from the others. What are the differences compared to the league? Was there any argument with the Napoli bench?

"What happened is a matter for the field. Napoli deserved the victory, defending better than us. In the last three matches, we conceded six goals and we need to improve. We have to work in this situation. The game could have changed at the start with an incident in our favor."

Are you lacking something numerically in defense?

"Talking about the transfer market now is pointless. We need to focus on working and rebuilding a solid defensive phase. Only then can we reach the top four. Let’s focus on getting back, then from Monday we will turn our attention to Verona."

Do the two eliminations stain the season? Allegri answered:

"We are disappointed, but we have a much bigger goal, which is to enter the top four. Qualifying for the Champions League right now is a lifeline for the club because it allows you to strengthen the squad and bring in money. The eliminations must lead to growth for the team. The path back to the Champions League will not be easy. There must be anger, but not disappointment."

Do you need anything from the market for the attack?

"The club takes care of the transfer market," concluded Allegri.
