Strahinja Pavlovic has gradually become a cornerstone of Milan’s defence. However, it is worth remembering where the Serbian started from. Last season, at times, he looked out of place and ill-suited to the Rossoneri context, often finding himself at the centre of criticism due to the lack of reliability he seemed to offer the team.

With the arrival of Max Allegri, everything changed. The coach not only brought mental reassurance to the squad and to the player himself, but also helped players return to their comfort zones, Pavlovic included. Let’s take a look at his 2025 with the Rossoneri, focusing on his defensive numbers in the current season.

Pavlovic's numbers:

Milan have conceded 13 goals when Pavlovic has been on the pitch, an average of 0.91 goals conceded per 90 minutes, with 7 clean sheets in 15 appearances, an excellent figure for a central defender. He averages 4.21 clearances and 0.63 blocked shots per 90 minutes, statistics that highlight his constant presence in defensive situations. His aerial duel numbers are also impressive, with around 2.45 duels won per match, placing him among the best in the league in this category for his position, as pointed out by Milan News. Finally, another key point is how rarely he is dribbled past, only 0.21 times per 90 minutes.
