Mike Maignan’s future remains uncertain, despite cautious optimism beginning to filter through from Casa Milan. The Rossoneri club managers will do everything possible to convince the Frenchman to stay, but in order to avoid being left empty-handed, the club has already started looking around to identify a potential replacement for the number 16.
In recent weeks, many names have been mentioned, foremost among them Zion Suzuki of Parma before his injury, but the Rossoneri management appear to have identified Maignan’s heir in Brazil. In fact, this morning 'Il Corriere dello Sport' headlined in the lower section of its front page, “Milan make a move for Hugo Souza,” reporting that in recent days the club submitted an initial offer to both the player and Corinthians.
