Luca Bianchin, journalist, commented on Milan’s match at Cagliari on gazzetta.it:
“There’s a Brazilian saying: ‘When life gives you only lemons, make a caipirinha.’ It applies to Milan and to Leao. Rafa arrived in Cagliari with inflammation in his right adductor that could have developed into pubalgia. That means no sprints, no changes of direction, basically no Leao. And yet, look at the goal that decided Cagliari-Milan: Leao doesn’t sprint, as throughout the match, but controls the ball while standing with his right foot and shoots powerfully with the other, his left. Allegri can be proud because Milan, like their number 10, was extremely effective and got the most out of what they had. They started terribly, with an Estupiñán performance worthy of criticism, but soon stabilized, slowed the pace of the game, and took few risks. In the end, that’s what matters. That, and one number: 38, the points in the standings. Milan, waiting for Inter and the usual Bologna of destiny, is first in the league.
"If you’re looking for the best on the field, logic says Rabiot and Leao, the men behind the goal, will be celebrated, but spare a thought for Saelemaekers and Modric. Alexis ran as if carrying two oxygen tanks, Luka seized the ball and decided that tonight, everyone would play at his pace. When he does that, what can you even say?”
