Contract renewals are always a hot topic at Milan. In recent months, after extending Alexis Saelemaekers’ deal, the club’s management has focused all its efforts on securing the future of Mike Maignan, the Rossoneri’s goalkeeper and captain. As has emerged in recent hours, even the final obstacle, agent commissions, has now been overcome, and Milan and the player’s entourage are set to formalize the agreement soon.
Next on the agenda at Casa Milan’s fourth floor is another Rossoneri top player, Christian Pulisic. The American is currently under contract until 2027, with an automatic renewal option until 2028 in the club’s favor. At Casa Milan, there is therefore a certain level of calm, but past experiences have taught the club the importance of acting early. For this reason, QS reports that Milan will open talks with Pulisic in the spring to secure him long term. A “Leão-style” renewal is planned for him, reflecting his status as the best player in the squad, which he continues to prove on the pitch.
