After signing Niclas Fullkrug even before the winter transfer window officially opened, Milan have remained fairly quiet on the transfer market. At the moment, there are no indications suggesting that any significant moves will take place in the final days of this window.
That said, there are still a few names being monitored at Casa Milan, and one of them is Jean-Philippe Mateta, the French centre-forward at Crystal Palace. He is expected to leave the English club, and Juventus have also shown interest in him.
In his latest video on YouTube, Fabrizio Romano spoke about Milan's ongoing interest in Mateta, stressing that it is more likely to materialise in the future rather than immediately: "Mateta is a player Milan like, and they have liked him since last summer and again in October and November. That appreciation has not changed. Milan rate Mateta very highly, and I believe that if an opportunity arises in the future, they will try. It may not happen in January, or different scenarios could open up, but I think the player continues to appeal to Milan because of his characteristics."
