The deal for Jean-Philippe Mateta took a new turn this afternoon when Crystal Palace managed to unlock negotiations for his replacement, Norwegian striker Jørgen Strand Larsen. A former Milan youth player for one season, Larsen is set to move to London from Wolverhampton. This development cleared the way for the French centre-forward to complete the transfer he has been pushing for strongly over the past few days, a move Milan decided to bring forward after already securing him at least for the summer.
According to reports from The Athletic, the French player has been given the green light to undergo his medical examinations, which are already taking place in London at this very moment. Once he passes the physical tests, he will be ready to travel to Milan, where he will sign his contract with the Rossoneri and make himself immediately available to Massimiliano Allegri and the rest of the squad.
