Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport leads this morning with the headline on its front page:
“Furious Milan. The club, irritated with the referees, calls the AIA.”
At their headquarters on Via Aldo Rossi, they did not appreciate at all the refereeing performance by Mariani in the stoppage time match against Como. As a result, a phone call was made from Casa Milan to the top officials of the AIA, during which other unfavorable incidents from this season were also pointed out.
After the match against the Lariani, most of the discussion focused on what happened in the second half, when Fabregas held back Saelemaekers, preventing him from chasing an opponent. The Milan bench immediately jumped to its feet and Max Allegri quite rightly complained strongly about the incident. In the end, however, instead of the Spaniard being sent off for unsporting conduct, it was the ex Bianconeri coach who received the red card. He has been suspended for one match by the Sports Judge and therefore will not be on the bench on Sunday against Parma.
