There is little to say and nothing to hide: we have reached the pivotal stretch of the season. The phase Massimiliano Allegri has long yearned for, the one he mentions at the start of every campaign, in past years and with other clubs as well: March is the month that can decide the title. And perhaps more than ever this year, the coming weeks will prove decisive. One way or another.

The home draw against Como has likely not been fully digested. The aim was to close the gap to five points behind Inter, but now the deficit stands at seven. It is not an impossible margin to recover, to be clear. Yet the distance must shrink again, starting with tomorrow’s difficult clash against Parma.

Massimiliano Allegri will once again have Adrien Rabiot at his disposal. He will not be the only player the ex Bianconero head coach relies on. Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport points out that at this stage of the season Allegri needs his veterans if he hopes to mount a comeback. Rafael Leão showed leadership on Wednesday, both with his goal and with his remarks at the final whistle. Allegri also hopes to see a renewed contribution from Christian Pulisic, who after scoring eight goals in 2025 has yet to find the net this calendar year.

Then there are Nkunku and Saelemaekers. The former has endured an inconsistent campaign, while the latter is ready to return to the starting lineup after a brief spell on the sidelines. With a squad that is hardly overflowing with depth, Allegri needs the entire group to accomplish what would be a significant task.

The objective now is clear: secure maximum points against Parma and Cremonese in order to face the derby against Inter with the same gap or perhaps an even smaller one. The hope is that Leão and Pulisic can put themselves in the right frame of mind to lead the Rossoneri toward the summit. The mission remains complicated but not impossible, in a league that has swung between extremes. There is still room to maneuver, and Allegri hopes to stay in contention until the final bend, with his veterans in peak condition.
