Franco Ordine, in his editorial for Corriere dello Sport, spoke about Milan after their defeat against Lazio as follows:
"The second lesson Milan takes away from the disappointing outcome of the match against Lazio is that this team, regardless of Rabiot’s absence, who is something of a lucky charm and, at the same time, a perfect balancer, must be a vigilant guardian of the football formula that brought them to sit in second place in the standings behind Inter’s army."
"Every time they tried to take risks, especially at the start, deviating from the traditional game plan, they risked going off course. The same thing happened regularly under Fonseca and Conceição at Milan, even if with different players than the current ones, which amplified tactical imbalances: as soon as they left space behind them, lacking fast and experienced defenders, they conceded goals in industrial quantities, relying on players like Thiaw and Theo Hernandez, who are no longer part of the squad today."
