AC Milan were expected to respond, and a response did indeed come. It wasn’t easy yesterday afternoon at San Siro against Torino, partly due to a confused and not very brave approach from the Rossoneri. In the end, however, the halftime break proved decisive for Massimiliano Allegri and his team, who came back out for the second half dominating the pitch and building their way to a 3–2 victory. They needed a strong, character-driven three points after the defeat to Lazio, also to answer Napoli, their next opponent after the international break.
La Gazzetta dello Sport headlined this morning:
"Milan shaken: night at -5 from Inter. Rabiot plays the Diavolo, Allegri returns to second: a fine Torino beaten."
The subheading goes into more detail about the match: “Torino were better in the first half but paid for a blackout at the start of the second. Two goals in just a few minutes turned the match in favor of the Rossoneri, who will face Napoli on Easter Monday.” And further in the paper: "A sluggish start and difficulties in build-up for Allegri’s team. Proud Torino: they believed until the very end.”
